Hey everyone! It's time for our bi-weekly newsletter.
Cool updates are coming your way, including changes to the map editor. Also, our interview with the one & only Silvio, aka asterix06, as he talks about Waze and the music he loves.
But, first thing first, the news!
Live Chat Between Editors
We’re adding live chat to the map editor, which enables editors in the same country to easily communicate with one another.
Chat will not replace private messaging. It’s a tool designed to offer a faster line of communication. And, don’t worry, users can remain "invisible" if they choose to.
We’re also working on general improvements to our website's look & feel. We hope these changes will make editing and browsing our site more intuitive.

What do you do when not editing maps?
I'm a commercial manager in a food company in Italy.
Which car do you drive?
A Citroen C5.
How long have you been a Wazer?
Since November 2009.
How did you get hooked?
A friend of mine told me that a free app of a new navigator was available on the App store, and the rest is history.

What's your favorite part about the community?
The best part for me is training and tutoring new Waze editors.
...And the worst part?
Chasing the cheaters!
What's the funniest Waze story that happened to you?
Waze was always suggesting alternative routes, and I always said: I know the road better than waze! Till the moment I found myself In a traffic jam, standing there for more than an hour. I had to admit: Waze was right.
What's your best Waze tip for newcomers?
It's very nice to edit and participate in the program, but even if your editing action is very small, it is always important for all users. So please pay attention to any small editing action. And do not re-edit roads that are already perfectly edited.
What do you listen to when driving your car (aside from the Waze app messages, of course)
local radio stations, mainly. My favorite song is "Music was my first love" by John Miles.
